So now you are motivated to launch, but launches fail when they are unprepared.
There are things you must do to prepare to launch your business successfully.
Think of your launch as a grand opening. You are telling everyone you are now open for business.
Have you decided which type of launch you will have?
Once you have decided on the type of launch, that will help steer your preparation to launch. Since each type of launch is different, your steps in preparing your launch will be different too.

So if you focus on the grand opening, who do you want to attend? Close friends and family?
Your local community? A specific club or venue? The general public? Make a list of who you want to attend your launch.
Now, how will you invite them? Email? Facebook event? Regular mail? Newspaper or magazine advertising? How you invite and who you invite also depends on the type of launch. (link to post)
Once you have decided who you are inviting and how you are inviting them, you need to be clear as to what you want from your launch? Are you looking for big sales or just to announce your business? Again, your goal will determine your preparation planning. Decide what your end goal is, then adjust your plan as needed.
If your goal is to make bank, then you need to offer a few of your best products at an appealing price--where your customers are getting a great deal and you are paying for your launch through sales at the launch.
If your goal is to spread the word and advertise your new business, then what can your customers/clients walk away with that will keep your business in their minds? Many companies use advertising tools with their name and number imprinted on them, business cards are number one in this area.

The best way to keep your customers thinking of you is by building a relationship with them. And to do this, you need to have regular contact. One way to have regular contact is by emailing them monthly or weekly. (We would not suggest bombarding them with daily emails--that is more like stalking them rather than building a relationship.) Most of the emails we set up are monthly, but weekly works as well--especially if you have weekly specials, blog posts, inspiration/motivation, etc. that you want to share.
In your emails, make a socialization offer--you can do this through asking them to like your business Facebook page, follow you on Twitter & Instagram, or connect with you on LinkedIn. Make sure to reciprocate the like/follow. For your local business, you can have a monthly social or get-together in your store or other location.

Build relationships with your customers/clients looking to each one of them as a person such as you are. Don't look at your customers as dollar signs, relationships will take you much farther than money ever will.
Now you are well on your way to a successful launch of your new business, brand or product. Let us know how your launch goes--we would love to hear about your personal experiences!
